I realized the other day that we're not just finished with Sabbatication, but that it's now been just over a year since we finished our first leg. I left England on October 22nd of last year. Somehow realizing that it's been more than a year ago is sadder than leaving in the first place.
I still miss The Cheese Hamlet and the cute house we lived in in Didsbury (not the horrible mattress, but the mansion that our little flat was part of) and the Curry Mile and visiting the National Trust sites.... Well, if there's one thing we learned last year, it's that you CANNOT HAVE IT ALL. We had Didsbury for 4 months and they were very nice ones. Now we have Athens again, which is also very nice.
